[PCO] Cannot access the Assessment - The Assessment is offline.

If you integrate with Planning Center and see the error message pictured above, then it is due to a failure in the connection with the Planning Center API in ServeWire VES.  This failure can result from the following:


  1. Change in the Admin account used for the initial authorization.  When ServeWire is initially configured a Planning Center Admin on your church staff "Authorized PCO" in the ServeWire integration settings.  If this person  had changes to their Planning Center admin rights, or is no longer with your church and has been removed from Planning Center as an admin, the authorization will fail.



  1. Code changes made by Planning Center.  We rely on what is called an API to connect to your Planning Center database.  It's pretty robust code, but sometimes the code experts at Planning Center make improvements or changes that can break our integration.



In either case, it is necessary for someone on your church staff with full Admin rights to Planning Center (Services and People) to login to ServeWire and 'Authorize PCO' again on the Integrations screen, even if the button is red (indicating it is connected to Planning Center).


First, click the red button to deauthorize the connection.  When it turns blue (and says Authorize PCO), click the button and follow the steps to authorize (this involves logging into Planning Center through the popup screen).  Once connected, navigate to your test link.  You should see the login form instead of the error message noted above.
